Victorian Silver Plate Sugar Bowl
$30.00Price
Nothing feels more like a treasure hunt than finding true victorian silverplate! This sweet sugar bowl is was made by Rogers, Smith & Co. of Meriden, Connecticut, in the late 1800s.
I’ve left the silver unpolished. I love the dark, moody patina that very old silverplate often has. It looks beautiful next to old books and warm light. But if you prefer something different, this piece will polish to a mirror finish.
Quadruple plate was a heavier silver plating applied over a base metal—a particularly handsome bit of 19th-century tableware craftsmanship.
Use for those fun, big matches. Or jewelry. Tiny treasures. A handful of dried flowers. Maybe even sugar! Measures 6” w X 4.75” h - includes lid, not pictured.
